John Keys: We wouldn't buy much water for salmon at $3200/acre-ft

Jeff mentioned earlier about a market for water or the marketability of water. Certainly, the price that's paid for water in this basin is different than what Las Vegas is paying, and one of the [prices] they've talked about today is $3200 an acre-foot. We wouldn't buy much water for salmon at $3200 an acre-foot. But for municipal supply or for a sub-division, which that one was for, it might be worth it. Certainly, the marketability of water plays a large part in what we are doing and the availability of money. At sometime we may run out of the ability to have money to buy salmon water with, and what do we do then? I don't know. But certainly, it is something that is in the bag of tools that we are working with right now.
