David Getches: What often gets overlooked are issues of fairness

One of the interests that is often forgotten in the discussion of water rights is what's fair, equity. A lot of the things you touched on have to do with fairness and moral or ethical obligation, and I think that it is appropriate, although not typical, to bring into the discussion some consciousness of ethics and fairness to everybody concerned and to the environment as well. And that ought to be part of respectable discourse. That's what I thought of when I heard what you said.
