What I wanted to say is that this country was built by immigrants: the native Americans. This is an issue that has been brought up over and over again. This nation was built by immigrants who took over, and not very fairly, either, in a country that didn't belong to them. Aside from that, that's past we can let it go, but then even more recently, the Irish-Americans came along, the Italian-Americans, more recently, the Czechoslovakians have come and the only reason that Latin Americans are paid so much attention to is because we do keep coming. But we are not coming for any other reason than those folks did. And awareness needs to be raised so that we all understand and get to know one another. But our reasons for being here are no different than all those immigrants that have come.
